TARTE PIN UP GIRL AMAZONIAN CLAY 12-HOUR BLUSH PALETTE(LIMITED EDITION)

Holidays are just around the corner and all the makeup companies are coming up with their limited edition holiday sets.I was able to grab quit a few of them,one of it being tarte pin up blush palette so today i’ll be talking about this beauty.
Tarte has one of the most beautiful holiday sets ever.Last year one of the product that i was absolutely obsessed with was tarte off the cuff blush palette,so i knew this year if they bring out another blush palette i am gonna grab it with both my hands and that is what i did lol

Blush palette are great value for money,super convenient and very travel friendly,you get to have different shade in one compact packing,so what’s not their to like right!
I gotta be honest with you when i saw this palette online i didn’t like it much,i liked their previous blush palette more but still i ordered it,but oh my how i was wrong.The online pictures does not do it justice one bit.

Tarte pin up blush palette comes in a clutch type palette and has a decent size mirror inside with two customized hair pins,super cute right!The casing is very cushiony and sturdy so you don’t need to worry about the blushes breaking easily.However i find it to be a bit bulky for my liking,but oh well.It contains 5 blushes all of them being limited edition shades,weighing 5 x 0.158 oz which is a decent amount in my opinion,i like how they have covered all the shades in here from beige to pinks,coral and berry/plum tone,incorporating different finishes.The palette is versatile and can be use to create any kind of look because of the variety of shades and finishes they have provided.If you are going on a holidays,bring this palette with you and trust me you are all set.

• BREATHLESS (PINK BEIGE) : It’s the most accurate description,it’s a beautiful pink beige,which gives a beautiful sheen.The shade is very unique,i don’t have anything like this in my collection.
• EMBARCED (PLUMMY ROSE) : This is a beautiful muted plummy rose shade with flex of shimmer and has a sheen to it,however it’s not as pigmented as the rest of the shades and you have to build the color up.
• WHIMSY (LIGHT PINK):This is a gorgeous matte baby pink shade,super pigmented and fun color to wear
• BASHFUL(ROSY PEACH):This is a gorgeous shade with flex of golden shimmer and gives a gorgeous sheen,absolutely love it.
• IRREPLACEABLE(MAUVE ROSE):It’s a bright warm mauve rose,almost look like a berry shade to me,with a semi matte finish.

Now lets talk about the quality,i don’t think i need to tell anyone how amazing single tarte amazonian clay blush are and this palette is no different,infact i find the blush too be even more soft,smooth and pigmented.Shade IRREPLACEABLE,BASHFUL,WHIMSY and BREATHLESS are super soft,butter and creamy where as i find EMBRACED to be abit more stiff and less pigmented,but it’s buildable never the less.These blushes claim to be long wearing and i do feel they stay on me for quit a long time.For the price of $42 it’s a good bargain considering you get 5 blushes.So i am super happy with my purchase

MAC ALLURING AQUATIC COLLECTION

MAC ALLURING AQUATIC COLLECTION came out few months back.I know this post is super late but how can i not post about this,i mean just look at it,Can we all take a moment to appreciate how beautiful the packing is.I am not the only one who think they did a fabulous job with the packing for this particular collection right!

All the products in this collection comes in a beautiful turquoise metallic packing with little droplets of raised water.So it gives an illusion of the product being wet.Absolutely gorgeous.By far my favorite mac packing to date.

• MYSTICAL LIPPIE:To be honest i bought mystical just because I absolutely loved the packing.I mostly wear bright/dark matte shade so this was soo not my kinda shade but since it was the most popular of the bunch i thought to order it.Whenever i applied it,it was love at first sight.This is such a beautiful “my lips but better kinda shade” for me.A perfect lipstick to pair with a dark smoky eyes or even with a natural look,i am obsessed with it now,too bad it was limited edition.I hope they bring back this shade,I for sure will buy a back up of it in a heartbeat.

• SEA ME HEAR ME EXTRA DIMENSION BLUSH :A gorgeous extra dimension blush which is described as “beige pink” is a mauvy warm tones pink which gives a beautiful sheen when applied on cheeks.This blush is not super pigmented and i mean it in a good way.It’s not like one application will give you a clown face.It’s very buildable and you can build it up or keep it sheer.I find it a perfect blush to pair with a red lipstick or any bright lipstick for that matter.I see myself wearing this blush more as we get into the fall/winter season.

• BRONZER REFINED GOLD:Ok so there is a story behind it AMOR couldn’t arrange this bronzer as it got sold out quick,but we had to meet some how lol,my amazing friend saw it at a mall in Lahore and picked up for me and send it all the way to Karachi so thank you soo much for that bakhtawar ❤ now coming back to the bronzer,I just started getting into bronzers lately,when i received it and saw it for the first time i thought it had way too much shimmer for my liking and it looked like reddish brown to me so i though this is definitely going to be a miss,but when i applied it for the first time,my brush did not pick up any shimmers and the bronzer itself was warm enough for my liking which was a pleasant surprise.It’s definitely a bronzing shade since it’s warm tone and not a contouring shade.Girls there is a difference between the two.You can also use this bronzer in your crease area to warm up your eye look.I sometimes do that and it looks gorgeous that way.So over all it worked out for me.I definitely prefer nars laguna over it though but i am glad i bought it.

I am absolutely loving the lipstick and blush from this collection,could have skipped the bronzer but now that i already have it in this gorgeous packing i am not complaining at all.

This for sure is one super exciting post to write about.Ever since i saw youtube gurus started doing these subscription boxes i have always wanted one too but these subscriptions are exclusive to US and i live in PAKISTAN,well now this is no issue at all.You can pretty much get anything your heart desires,thanks to all these amazing facebook pages.I got my first ever ipsy box and EEEEEEE can you tell i am super excited.

4) COASTAL SCENTS FOREVER BLUSH SAMPLE:Can you guys believe i have never used any coastal scents product,this will be my first.I like how it has two shade,one is a matte peachy shade and other one is a shimmery pinky one,the pigmentation of the peachy shade is ok but the pink shade is super creamy and pigmented,this would be perfect to keep in my bag for touch ups.

5)DR BRANDT PORES NO MORE:It comes in a decent deluxe size sample,i am always comparing primers to my holy grail primer benefit porefessional to see if anything comes close to it,this looks promising.I love the fact that it’s sealed so we know for a fact that it has not been tampered with.Can you tell i am a neat freak :p Right when i saw the product it looked wayy to much like porefesional and what do you know it works the same way, absolutely lovee it.

So all in all i am quite happy with my JULY & AUGUST GLAM BAGS .. there were more hits then misses according to me ..the only two product that i was not super excited about are the lip balm and tanning oil,rest i love

This is a relatively new product from Milani.I Recently purchased these eye pencils and have been experimenting with it and i must say i am loving the result.The shades are right up my alley.Since i lean more towards neutral,golden,bronze shade.I ended up ordering the following shade:

• ALMOND CREAM (A matte creamy beige shade that can be use to neutralize your own lid color)
• GOLDEN BRONZE (A beautiful golden bronze metallic shade)
• CHAMPAGNE TOAST(A champagne metallic shade with pink undertones)

Right off the bat whenever i first swatch it,i knew this product is a hit and i am going to write a rave review about it and that is exactly what happened.I must say these eye shadow pencils are the bomb.com.At first i thought they were twist up pencils but then found out that they are not,so you need to keep a sharpener for jumbo pencils in handy.The smell is a little off putting,it smells like a wet paint but you can only smell it if you dig your nose in the pencil,whenever you apply it you can’t smell anything

All the shades are super pigmented and gives opaque color in one swipe, and blends beautifully,Since i have super oily eyelids,my main concern is eye shadow creasing on me and it’s safe to say that this product did not Crease at all.Once it dries on your eyes it will stay put until you wash it off with an eye makeup remover .

Not only that but these claim to be a long wearing 12 hours eye shadow pencils and i have to give it to them,without a doubt they stay put on my eyes for hours and did not budge at all.In the above picture i literally scrubbed my hand with water and it did not budge,super impressed with their staying power.This product can be use on it’s own or you can use it as a base to make your eyeshadow pop and to make them look vibrant.It looks gorgeous in both ways.They have really good range of colors to choose from,from bronze,gold to neutral,plums,black etc so i feel that there is a shade for every person.
If you are someone who always complains that their eye shadows don’t end up looking good after they are all done with it or it fades away.I would recommend you try one of these.

Helloo my lovelies.This is going to be a short and sweet post,but i bet you are going to love it,so continue reading and thank me later.You guys must have read my previous post about MAC MSF in SOFT AND GENTLE.Now i know that it is an expensive product,not everybody would want to spend that kind of money on just one product which i totally understand and respect.So what to do in this situation when you really like a product but cannot justify spending the money,well you start searching for a dupe and hope that you find one.I made this post just to tell you all that i have found the exact dupe for mac soft and gentle.Yes you heard it right,

The exact dupe for soft and gentle skinfinish is ELF BAKED HIGHLIGHTER in BLUSH GEMS.Elf is an amazing line of cosmetics that is not only affordable but amazing quality too

LEFT ELF BAKED HIGHLIGHTER(BLUSH GEMS) – RIGHT MAC MINERALIZED SKINFINISH  (SOFT AND GENTLE)

If you compare it side by side you can easily see that they are practically identical.Both looks exactly the same,they are baked doomed shape product with swirl of peachy bronze shade,which looks more of a peachy champagne when applied.Both have the same pigmentation,finish,color and both appears same on the skin,only elf is a fraction of the price.Mac soft and gentle contains 10g of products and is priced at $32 where as elf baked highlighter contains 5g and is priced at $3,imagine the price difference.Mac is a tad bit more smooth and buttery though but elf baked highlighter has no fallout as oppose to soft and gentle which has alot of fallout.Since i already own soft n gentle this one goes to my sister so yay for her .See the comparison swatches and be the judge yourself.

So those of you who don’t want to spend alot of money and still want to get that gorgeous glow i would suggest you get your hands on elf baked highlighter in blush gem.

REVIEW:MAC MINELARIZE SKINFINISH (SOFT AND GENTLE)

Way back when i started off with makeup i use to think that highlighters and illuminators are not meant for oily skin,and boy was i wrong.If applied properly it can look gorgeous.If you are somebody who loves a healthy glowy skin and what to know how to fake it this review is just for you ..Today i’ll be talking about MAC minelarize skinfinish.It’s a dome shaped baked powder highlighter that comes in a compact form and contains 10g of product.
It comes in 5 shades,

• Lightscapade
• Gold deposit
• Cheeky bronze
• Global glow
• Soft and gentle

MAC soft n gentle was on my wishlist for soo long now but never got around buying it.So finally i caved in and bought one.It definitely is one of the most raved about mac product.I feel like even people who are not into make up knows about this particular product.So lets see if this cult product is worth the hype.

Let me tell you before you jump off your seats and think that this is a fake MAC ….. no it isn’t.Mac just re-launched their packing of few products,skinfinish being one of them and now it comes looking like this.The top part of the compact is matte while the bottom is glossy.It looks more bulky and some of the product shows through the plastic lid .MAC is written on top  and now it has a magnetic closure.I have to be totally honest with you.I did not like their new packing one bit.In fact i miss the old packing and kinda regret not buying it sooner,so definitely it will take some time getting use to it but on the plus side it is more sturdy with magnetic closure so the chances of breakage is less.

MAC describes it as
A luxurious velvet-soft powder with high-frost metallic finish.Smooths on:adding buffed-up highlights to cheeks and brows or an overall ultra deluxe polish

In the pan it looks like a swirling marbleized domed shape powder of peachy bronze shade with some micro shimmers which is baked to perfection,but on application the shimmers does not show up and looks more of a peachy champagne highlight.I would suggest you moisturize your skin before applying any highlighter as it can accentuate the dry patches and that never looks pretty.

I tried this highlighter on my skin at mac counter and i was blown away by the results.It made my skin glowy and dewy without making it look oily.This highlight gives the most beautiful glow and makes your skin look healthy.It is a build-able highlight and photographs beautifully too.As it has a metallic finish,too much of it can make you look like you have tones of make up on and might end up looking unflattering and can accentuate your pores.Since it’s a peachy bronzy it can also makes you look tan so a gentle swirl is enough to apply on the high point of your cheeks and where ever else you like to highlight.This look gorgeous as a brow bone highlight as well.I use my real techniques setting brush to apply my highlighters.I feel it’s just the right size for any highlight application.I do notice some fall out as i swirl my brush through this product though,which is not that big of a deal as the product itself is gorgeous.I absolutely understand why this product is raved about so much.It definitely is one of my top favorite highlighters of all time and since it contains a wooping 10g of product and you just need a tiny bit for every application,i feel this is going to last me a lifetime so yes it’s definitely worth buying

• Can accentuate dry patches and large pores

REVIEW:URBAN DECAY NAKED 3 PALETTE

Today lets talk eyeshadow palettes.Now we all know that Urban decay is well known for their eyeshadow palettes specially their naked series.NAKED 3 is one of the most hyped about eyeshadow palette now a days.This palette is the third installment in the naked series followed by naked 1 and 2.Naked 1 carries warmer tones where as naked 2 has more coolers tones.So today i’ll be talking about naked 3.
This palette contains rose gold undertones with pinky hues.Since rose gold is all the rage now a days,everybody wants everything rose gold and i am no different,whenever i first saw this i decided to get it.It comes in a rose gold tin packing that snaps shut which kinda looks like a stationary box.It contains a huge size mirror,which is always a plus.Although i don’t use the mirror at all but it’s nice to have an option.The packing is very sturdy and does not feel like eyeshadow will crack or get destroyed.It comes with a sample of their primer portion,one of my favourite eye shadow primer and a dual eyeshadow brush which to be honest i rarely use Now lets take about the shades. Naked 3 in fact all naked palettes contains 12 eye shadows with various finishes.Some are metallic,shimmery,frosty while some are satin or matte. All the naked palettes contain two matte shade.All these shades have beautiful rose gold hue to it which makes this palette very unique,each contains 0.05 oz of product .All 12 shades are new,no repeats from naked 1 or 2.

The shades are :

• STRANGE (Very light pale off white that has neutral pink hue with satin finish,leans more towards matte.Somewhere between satin and matte)
• DUST (Metallic light pink shade with micro shimmer.the name says it all,this particular eyeshadow is very chalky and chunky and not at all pigmented. My least favorite shade in this palette)
• BURNOUT (Light peachy pinky satin,leaning more towards pinky side)
• LIMIT (Matte pink tan,Beautiful blending shade)
• BUZZ (Metallic rose gold shade with micro glitters.This one is one of my favorite shade.Looks absolutely stunning)
• TRICK (Metallic copper shade with rose gold/pink undertones,has some micro shimmers.This would be my second favorite shade of the palette.)

• NOONER ( Matte medium mauve brown shade with pink undertones)
• LIAR ( Metallic mauve shade,super gorgeous)
• FACTORY ( Metallic brown with some shimmer that are not very noticeable)
• MUGSHOT (Metallic taupe shade  with slight pink shift,very pigmented)
• DARKSIDE (Dark plumy taupe satin finish shade,absolutely stunning)
• BLACKHEART (Black eyeshadow with rosy glitter super gorgeous)

As you can see the first half of the palette has more pinky eye shades and you can create some beautiful soft romantic eye looks with it where as the other half is more bronzy/taupy with rose gold undertones and can be used for more sultry smokey look.So you get a good variety.Most of the shadows are super pigmented and gives opaque color in one swipe. Except for the shade DUST which is super chalky with chunky glitters,has no pigmented and had major fall out too when applied,my least favorite shade.Shade BURNOUT and TRICK are also not as pigmented as i would have liked them to be,you have to build up the color,but non the less gorgeous shades.Other then that all the shades are pigmented and blends well and have no fall outs.The second half of the palette hits the home run as far as pigmentation goes where as the first half have some hits and misses.Some people might have concerns that the rose gold/pink undertones may not suit our desi skin but i feel otherwise.It looks stunning.I am nw20 but i do feel girls that are nw/nc35 and below,the rose gold/pink undertone might not show up as well so be sure to keep that in mind but you can always apply a colored primer to enhance the rose gold/pink hue.

COMPARISON BETWEEN NAKED 1 AND NAKED 3

As far as comparing it to naked 1 and 2 is concern yes they are all neutral shade but the undertones makes all the difference.I feel if you have naked 1 you really don’t need naked 2 and vise versa. But naked 3 is an amazing palette to add  for a makeup enthusiast like myself.As you can see in the picture although both the palettes are neutral but they are very much different then each other.Obsessed with this palette

REVIEW:BOURJOIS RADIANCE REVEAL HEALTHY MIX FOUNDATION

Since my last post was about a brush that would apply foundation flawlessly i thought it would only be fitting if i post a review on a foundation that has quickly became one of my favourite.I am someone who keeps experimenting with new foundations and keep buying and comparing them.So today i will be talking about bourjois radiant reveal healthy mix foundation.

BOURJOIS RADIANCE REVEAL HEALTHY MIX FOUNDATION

So let me first give you a little background.I have super oily acne prone skin with some acne marks mainly on my cheek area.The original healthy mix foundation is discontinued but rumor has it that this is the exact same foundation formula with different packing and smell to it.I can’t really comment on it as i never got to use the original healthy mix foundation.I have been hearing such good reviews about this foundation that i decided to pick it up from Dubai duty free while i was waiting for my flight call.Their they had only three shades and surprisingly one of it was my exact match.So it was not alot of hassle for me to figure out my shade.I bought shade vanilla 52. Which is second to the lightest shade. For reference i am nw20 in MAC foundation.This foundation comes in 8 shades.So the color selection is not so good.

I Love the packing.It comes in a glass container with a pump so you can control the amount you want to take out and does not contaminate the product.The texture is somewhat thick.It’s definitely thinner then revlon colourstay but not thin enough that it would slip and slide.It has a very pleasant fresh fruity smell which is noticeable when you apply it,but wears off quickly and does not bother me,infact i love it

SHADE N 52 VANILLA

It’s a buildable foundation which gives light to medium coverage at most.I find it does hide away my acne marks and evens out my skin tone but some of the spots that are a little deeper peaks through which i don’t mind.The finish is more luminous rather then matte.Usually luminous foundations contain shimmer or glitter which personally i don’t like but this one doesn’t and does not make my face look like a disco ball,rather gives a beautiful glow which i am digging now a days.You can totally mattify it by using any setting powder.

Whenever you apply the foundation it does not feel heavy or cakey.It glides on the skin and you feel like you have nothing on.Gives a very natural finish which is soo needed in this hot humid climate.It does not feel sticky to the touch and absorbs in the skin and does not accentuate large pores.I usually use a pump for my entire face and i am good to go.This product claims that it’s a long wearing 16 hour foundation,on me it lasts about 6-7 hours which is pretty impressive.I mean who wears foundation for 16h straight lol.I do get super oily on my t-zone so i have to keep retouching it with my setting powder.I find that it does not oxidize on me at all.So be sure to get a perfect match.It comes off easily with a cleanser and you don’t have to go through a million steps to get it off your face.Like i mentioned i have really sensitive acne prone skin,this foundation does not break me out or cause any irritation what so ever.Now it does contain dimethicone which is a type of silicon,so girls who are allergic to silicon might react to it so be careful with that.Try it out first before making the purchase.Girls who like a natural looking foundation are going to love this foundation and those who are looking for a full coverage foundation and have alot of marks and hyper pigmentation to hide might not like it as much.Personally i feel it’s a great everyday foundation.

REVIEW:SIGMA F82 ROUND KABUKI BRUSH

Applying foundation is one step we all have trouble with, The way your foundation is applied makes or breaks your entire look.I feel it is the most crucial part of any makeup look.I am somebody who has super oily acne prone skin.So whenever i have to attend a wedding or a party foundation is a must for me,in the past i have had alot of issues with how to apply foundation. Manyier times my foundation end up looking very cakey just because i wanted to hide those acne spots.Few years back SIGMA came up with their kabuki range.This range contains 5 brushes

You can either buy the entire SIGMA KABUKI KIT or individual brushes.When i first saw F82 round kabuki brush i was intrigued and really wanted to get my hands on it asap. So i placed my order right away. Prior to this i would use my hands to apply my foundation. Did not like using the standard foundation brush as that would make my foundation very streaky.

As soon as i got it. It was love at first sight.The brush is very dense and the bristles are closely packed with each other and extremely soft. I dab my foundation on my face and then buff it in using this brush. Right away i realize that this is the answer to all my foundation application problem.Since the bristles are tightly packed it applies the foundation evenly and blends beautifully. It buffs the foundation and gives the most flawless finish to the skin. And does not create any streaks what so every.The whole process takes less then 2 min now and it’s on point every single time.

SIGMA F82-ROUND KABUKI BRUSH

I am somebody who clean their brushes after every single use so i wanted to see how well it holds up after i clean it.Does it shed or loose it’s shape,to my surprise it holds up pretty well.It has been more then 2 years that i have this brush and have cleaned it several times. But uptill now it has not shed on me or loose it’s shape. This brush is a must have for all the girls out there. Who are starting out with makeup or are already experts at it.I would 100% recommend it. It’s worth the money and i consider it as an investment piece.

REVIEW:BITE BEAUTY AGAVE LIP MASK

Bite beauty is a fairly new brand for this part of the world.I have recently seen beauty gurus talking about it on youtube and that too with great reviews,so i thought i should give it a go.I am someone who suffers with chapped dehydrated lips to a point were they hurt,because of which i am always on a look out for a good chapstick/lip treatment.Recently there has been quit some talk about a product that bite beauty has introduced called agave lip mask,the price range on this baby is HIGH so i kept thinking if it’s worth spending on,and after all the “should i shouldn’t i”,i finally splurge.So lets cut to the chase and review this baby up

It’s a 99% organic lip mask.The first thing i noticed when i read the ingredient list is that it has no petroleum in it. Now we all think petroleum is good for chapped lips but the truth is it sucks the moisture out of our lips making them even more dry and 90% of the lip balm have petroleum as their main ingredient so when i found out it does not have petroleum in it,i was a happy camper.

This does not come in a traditional packing,like how lip balms and treatments come in.It comes in a metallic tube which,was odd to me at first.Upon opening i realize that the product is very thick and potent and you have to press a little hard to get the product out.The product itself is yellow in color and smells amazinggg.It has a very sweet vanilla smell and has a sweet taste to it as well,you’ll be tempted to lick your lips but you gotta resist.

It’s a very potent thick balm, jam packed with nourishing ingredients which is tacky in texture so it stays put on your lips for hours.I wouldn’t suggest it to be used at day time as your hair might get stuck to your lips,which is very unattractive.But it’s a great over night treatment.I apply it before i go to bed and i can literally feel all the dead skin flaking off,you just need a small dot size amount to cover your lips and you wake up with soft supple lips the next day.Now i wouldn’t say it has gotten rid of my chapped lips completely,whenever i forget to apply this balm my lips do become super dry that day but whenever i use it they remain soft and hydrated throughout the day. I use to have pale lips but ever since i have started using this product the pigmentation on my lips has gotten better too,they have become healthy rosy pink.I am so glad i invested in this product.You just need a tini tiny amount, so this tube is going to last me a lifetime,for all those girl who suffer with dry dehydrated lips like me should definitely give this product a go.Since the product is thick and tacky you do feel the product sitting on our lips so people who cannot stand this feeling might not like it but i for one have no problem with that.
